About Yukti
Last updated 2 November 2026
Yukti is a free web app for learning personal finance. It teaches money through short stories, quick quizzes and a hands-on Budget Lab, with Yuki the squirrel cheering learners on. There are 16 units, from the history of money to budgeting, credit scores, loans, taxes, investing and retirement. Everything runs in the browser at yukti.finance/learn, with nothing to install.
Why we built it
Most of us left school knowing how to solve for x but not how a credit score works, what an EMI really costs, or why ₹100 buys less every year. Yukti started as a student project at Tetr College of Business to fix that: lessons short enough to finish on a bus ride, told as stories about people you might know, with Indian examples and rupee amounts throughout.
Our team
Yukti is built and run by four founders, all students at Tetr College of Business.
Rishi Rahul Chipra
Co-founder. Builds the app and website, and looks after the finance side.
Fabian Polanco
Co-founder. Leads the curriculum: what each unit teaches and how the lessons are written.
Dhanish Badiyani
Co-founder. Handles legal matters and marketing.
Zayan
Co-founder. Handles marketing and getting the word out.
How our lessons are made
- Written for beginners. Each lesson is a short story told in scenes, with one clear idea at a time and a question straight after it. Fabian Polanco leads the curriculum, and each course page shows who wrote it and when it was last updated.
- Made for India. Examples use rupees and Indian rules and products, such as UPI, PAN, EPF, PPF and NPS. In the app, money examples can show in your own currency.
- Education, not advice. Yukti teaches general ideas. It doesn't recommend specific financial products.
- Corrected when wrong. Rules and rates change. If you spot a mistake or something out of date, email support@yukti.finance and we'll fix it.
How Yukti is paid for
Every lesson is free. The free version shows ads (see our privacy policy), and Yukti Premium, coming soon, will remove limits for a fee. Ads never decide what a lesson says.
